Bart Van Kersavond

Photographer of Transitional Spaces
Between Documentation and Minimalism

My work begins where architecture meets human absence: empty structures, frozen in time between intention and decay. What started as documentation of urban subcultures evolved into a study of spaces in transition — whether through the raw aesthetics of brutalism, the quiet poetry of unfinished buildings, or the interplay of light and geometry in abandoned places.

Today, I move between three poles:
Documentation (capturing the ephemeral),
Fine Art (distilling spaces to their essential forms),
& Creative Projects (collaborating with creatives who share this fascination).

My images have been exhibited at Liquid Times (Berlin), published in Lonely Planet, and featured in group shows like Graffiti Writing 1983–Today.
